The rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT) in recent years has unquestionably had a significant impact on how we live our daily lives. As numerous technologies have fused with ICT, our society and culture continue to change and develop into a more complex and dynamic world. The goal of Living in the IT Era is to explore both present and emerging technologies, with a focus on ICT and its components, and how these technologies impact our society, culture, and awareness in general. The development of ICT and the significant effects of its use in many fields or disciplines are the topics covered in this course. Living in the IT Era further aims to strike a balance between contextualized instructions and outcomes-based learning, where basic ICT concepts, major trends, as well as the new problems and difficulties these developments bring, are supplemented with pertinent tasks and/or projects. It is sincerely hoped that this course will offer students a variety of opportunities and limitless possibilities to acquire in-depth knowledge and understanding, develop 21st century skills, and promote and strengthen values in order to become lifelong learners and useful members of society in this age and time, where advanced and sophisticated technologies have significantly changed how people live, work, and learn.
TEACHING COMMON COMPETENCIES IN AGRI-FISHERY ARTS
This course provides prospective teachers a foundation in teaching different competencies in Agri-Fishery Arts track, including concepts that will help to develop knowledge, skills and attitude to perform different tasks on the track chosen. It covers common competencies on personal entrepreneurial competencies, environment and market, and occupational safety and health. It also includes different exploratory courses of Agri-fishery Arts to give prospective teachers skills and knowledge on the track.
BTVTED ELX TEACHING COMMON COMPETENCIES IN HOME ECONOMICS
This course provides prospective teachers a foundation in teaching
different competencies in Home Economics track, including concepts that will
help to develop knowledge, skills, and attitude to perform different tasks on
the track chosen. It covers common competencies on personal entrepreneurial
competencies, environment and market, and occupational safety and health. It
also includes different exploratory courses of Home Economics to give
prospective teachers skills and knowledge on the track chosen.
Instrumention troubleshooting and maintenance
This course deals with the study of testing instruments and maintenance of domestic appliances
Audio System Repair and Maintenance
This course deals with the different studies that revolve around audio system repair and maintenance with its theory of operation and its characteristics. Also provide exposure, actual demonstration and application which include the basic parts and troubleshooting in audio system.
Work-Based Learning with emphasis on Trainers Methodology
This course deals on the different modalities of work-based learning such as, dual training, apprenticeship, on-the-job training and others. It covers the knowledge and skills in establishing the training requirements for trainees, supervising and monitoring work-based training, and evaluating its effectiveness in the attainment of the training programs objectives.
FS 2 PARTICIPATION IN TEACHING ASSISTANTSHIP
This course is a continuation of Field Study 1. It is school based and allows a pre-service student to participate and assist in a limited actual teaching-learning activity that relate to assessment of learning, preparation of instructional materials, preparation of bulletin boards and other routines in the classroom. A portfolio which will contain sample lesson or learning plans and demonstration teaching of at least one subject content area will be required. An action research shall be encouraged to start in this course and conclude during the internship.

This course deals with an introduction to the concept of industrial arts. It includes discussions on technology, its evolution, utilization and significance; with industry, its organization, materials, occupations, processes and products; and with problems and benefits resulting from the technological nature of society. As an introductory subject, it is designed to develop certain habits, attitudes and abilities desirable for all citizens of an industrial and technological civilization. It covers the basic knowledge and skills in the areas of Drafting, Electrical and Plumbing.
BASIC ELECTRONICS AND TEST EQUIPMENT
This course deals with the study of the various tools and equipment used in electrical and electronics laboratory work. It includes power tools and hand tools and test equipment like kinds of pliers, kinds of screw drivers, hammer, etc. this tools and test equipment are very important to electronic technicians especially troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits.
VIDEO SYSTEM REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
Electronic Laws and Ethics including Electrical Code Single Activity Format
This course deals with the different electronic laws including Philippine Electrical Code.
Industrial Automation and Control Electronics Topic Format

The course provides with important concepts of the methods of research covering the design, data collection, statistical application and development of research instrument.
