ECE 312 Industrial Electronics SY 2022-2023
The course teaches the theory and operation of solid – state devices and control circuits for industrial processes; industrial control operations; electronic instrumentation; transducer; data acquisition system; power supply and voltage regulator. It also covers photo electronics, sensors and instruments used in industrial applications. It includes variable frequency drives, DC motor, servomotors and stepper motor drives; application of relay logic circuits, and interfacing and programming of PLCs.
Power System Protection
This course
deals with the protective relaying, protection alternators, transformer,
bus-bars, transmission lines, distribution lines, protection against
overvoltage's including surge protection and high voltage insulation engineering
ADVANCED MOTOR CONTROL WITH PLC APPLICATIONS BY RPA SY 2021-22 2ND SEM
This course deals with the study of electric motors (AC and DC) and the associated control circuits. It also includes an understanding of the practical application and use of programmable logic controllers. Troubleshooting and design of motor control circuits are given emphasis. Practical activities are provided to verify and practice learned principles.
EM 111 - Calculus 1
Basic concepts of calculus such as limits, continuity, and differentiability of functions; differentiation of algebraic and transcendental functions involving one or more variables; applications of differential calculus to problems on optimization, rates of change, related rates, tangents and normal, and approximations; partial differentiation and transcendental curve tracing.
EM 110-Fundamentals of Engineering Mathematics
An introductory course that covers foundation subjects in engineering mathematics including the concepts of college algebra, topics from plane and spherical trigonometry, plane and solid geometry and analytic geometry.
Basic Motor Control - EE (SY 2021-2022)
This course introduces the fundamental concepts of motors and motor controls. Topics include ladder diagrams, pilot devices, contactors, motor starters, motor and other devices and provision in Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), specifically Article 4.30 of PEC.
INTEGRAL CALCULUS
Concept of integration and its application to physical problems such as evaluation of areas, volumes of revolution, force, and work; fundamental
formulas and various techniques of integration applied to both single variable and multi-variable functions; tracing of functions of two variables.
NS 111 - CHEMISTRY FOR ENGINEERS
This course provides students with core concepts of chemistry that are important in the practice of engineering profession.
A fundamental
laboratory course designed to relate and apply the principles and theories in
chemistry to engineering practices. It is a combination of experimental and
calculation laboratory.
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE 2
This course is designed to equip individuals with operational skills in Electrical Installation & Maintenance particularly on installing, maintaining, and commissioning of electrical wiring, equipment/systems in houses, industrial and commercial establishments and other buildings where the voltage does not exceed 600 volts.
Physics for Engineers
Vectors, kinematics, dynamics; work, energy, and power; impulse and momentum; rotation; dynamics of rotation; elasticity; oscillation. Fluids; thermal expansion, thermal stress; heat transfer; calorimetry; waves; electrostatics; electricity; magnetism; optics; image formation by plane and curved mirrors; and image formation by thin lenses.
EE 322 - Electrical Machines 2 (EE 3A)
This course deals with the fundamental of AC Machinery; synchronous generators and motors; induction motors; single phase and special purpose motors.
