Specialized Office Procedure (Medical & Legal Field)
Medical Field-This course equips the student with knowledge of basic medical procedures in the admission, treatment, care, discharge of patients, handling, and disposition of medical records. Students are familiarized with the vocabulary of medical terms, equipment, and materials.
Legal Field- This course equips students with a working knowledge of the procedures in a legal office or court in handling telephone calls, attending to office visitors and clients, hearing an investigation. It develops the students’ ability in preparing legal documents, wills, complaints and summonses, real estate and corporate documents. It also trains the students to use legal filing procedures that are currently used in law offices/courts.
Office System Administration
The course presents administrative responsibilities involved in managing an office system environment. It stresses duties and responsibilities in executive-level administrative work. Emphasis is given on total self-development for effective interaction with professional colleagues and other publics.
Human Behavior in Business Organization
The course introduces the students to the factors affecting the behavior of individuals and groups in organization. Various theories and models of organization, work group behavior, motivation in life and work, and human relations among others are discussed and related to organizational practices and phenomena.
Readings in Philippine History
An introductory course on the history and culture of the Filipino people. It is designed to give students basic knowledge about the Philippines’ past and cultural heritage. The course combines the chronological and topical approaches. Thus, the major historic periods are treated in sequential order. Within each major historic period, the discussion will proceed according to the topic.
Undergraduate Thesis Writing
The course presents the basic research methodologies appropriate to research in office administration. This will include processes and techniques associated with selecting and refining research problem, the means of identifying the current state of research in the field of study, data identification and collection, information analysis and synthesis, solution to the problems and recommendations. The selection of appropriate means of disseminating research findings is the integral part of the course.
Business Law and Taxation
This course principally deals with the study of some pertinent provisions of Commercial Law with specific reference to Law on Business Transaction (Obligation and Contract, Contract of Sales, Contract of Agency, etc.) and Law on Business Associations (partnership and Corporation). Included in the coverage of the course is an orientation of the fundamental of taxation as provided for in the National Internal Revenue Code of the Philippines.

Foundations of Shorthand
The course present an introduction to the basic principles of shorthand and provides application and development of these principles in reading and writing exercises; presentation and development of skills in English grammar, punctuation, and spelling as students transcribe in longhand dictated letters at 40 words a minute on practiced material in a 3-minute dictation with 10-15%errors.
Intro to Project Management
This course is designed to teach students to plan and coordinate projects, develop timelines, determine priorities, allocate resources using graphic tools such as MS Project or MS Excel software, and increase individual and team productivity. Project management techniques and concepts are learned by participating in a team project and completing a personal project plan.
The Entrepreneurial Mind
The entrepreneur is the most important person in a business enterprise, especially in the start-up phase. They will function as the originator, organizer, and operators of their enterprise and will be primarily answerable only to themselves. As such the students must have mastery of themselves as a foundation in their journey to master opportunities and their situation then later to master their enterprise.
This course shall use learner-centered, active, and experiential teaching methods to develop the entrepreneurial mindset in the students. The focus will be on students’ immediate application of the seven self-mastery skills namely:
(1) learning to be,
(2) learning to communicate,
(3) learning to think
(4) learning to intuit,
(5) learning to do,
(6) learning to feel, and
(7) learning to lead towards the attainment of Whole Brain Thinking.
It will also introduce the students to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Students will be tasked to engage in various micro-entrepreneurial exercises to encourage inductive learning of these fundamentals. In the process, the students will be expected to engage in a self-assessment of their personal entrepreneurial behaviors, competencies, personality profiles, leadership styles, and thinking preferences, which will serve as a foundation for their development as responsible, disciplined and creative entrepreneurial leaders.
The Contemporary World
This course introduces students to the contemporary world by examining the multifaceted phenomenon of globalization. Using the various disciplines of the social sciences, it examines the economic, social, political, technological, and other transformations that have created an increasing awareness of the interconnectedness of peoples and places around the globe. To this end, the course provides an overview of the various debates in global governance, development, and sustainability. Beyond exposing the student to the world outside the Philippines, it seeks to inculcate a sense of global citizenship and global ethical responsibility.

Personal and Professional Development
This deals with holistic approach to personality development. It aims to develop self-confidence and enhance self-esteem by providing students with techniques to achieve personal success through self-motivation, assertiveness and projecting professionalism. It prepares students to deal with people at different levels by adjusting to situations and circumstances in a corporate environment. It emphasizes business etiquette and the Code of Ethics to Professionals.
