ITA 214 Multimedia System 1st Sem
This is an introductory course on the principles and concepts of multimedia systems and its applications. The course shall include discussion on core topics such as color theory, compression schemes, image design and processing, video production and interactive presentations / applications. The current trends, tools, techniques and guidelines in the development of multimedia will also be covered. Upon successful completion of the course, students will identify and describe the function of the general skill sets in the multimedia industry, the basic components of multimedia project, its hardware and software, and the students are required to create a portfolio art and design, and an interactive and animated game.
Mobile Technology I
This course will introduce the unique requirements and methodologies necessary for developing dedicated and client-server applications that target smartphones, tablet computers, and other mobile devices. The course will address the unique memory, communications, and power requirements of these devices, as well as exploring new hardware capabilities such as location-aware computing and voice, image, and video communications. The Major focus of this course is to design and develop a Simple Mobile Application with location awareness and using one or more hardware sensors, and SQLite.
(SY 23-24) - Capstone Project 2 (IT 4113)
This course is the
culmination of the accumulated educational experiences and trainings of the
students at CCS in a single original research project of their choice, subject
to approval and supervision of a faculty mentor. A final course that caps three
years of study in form of a capstone relatively topics parallel with the
Research cum Extension priorities of the department and project agendas
indicated in the CMO as Information Technology Major. To complete the course,
the students are required to present/defend the full-blown capstone project in
a form of two oral examinations, the Pre and Final Oral Defense.
Human Computer Interaction
This course gives an introductory knowledge in the field of human computer interaction (HCI) which is an integration of cognitive psychology, design, computer science and others.
This also covers what and how human factors influence the usability and acceptability of Information Systems
and will also give emphasis on the examination of human performance, components of technology, methods and
techniques used in design and evaluation of Information System. User-centered design methods and
contemporary technologies used in empirical evaluation methods will also be introduced and evaluated.
Introduction to Human Computer Interaction
This course gives an introductory knowledge to the field of HCI with emphasis on designing useful, effective an acceptable user interface for a native system or web. This course covers the basics of HCI including how and what human factors influence the usability and acceptability of information systems, methods to develop and assess interfaces, interaction styles and design consideration. The Major focus of the course is to design and develop an e-learning interface.
ITA 224 E-Commerce Technology
This course focuses on electronic commerce applications, technologies, and tools, which are used to conduct business on the World Wide Web. It reviews foundations of e-commerce, its infrastructure, current business models in business-to-customers (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) transactions, security and quality assurance, web site design strategies, payment systems, and various issues--Internet marketing, legal, regulatory, technological, social, and ethical--which relate to electronic business, systems development issues, electronic data interchange, web-based marketing, e-supply chains, e-procurement, e- marketplace, customer relationship management, and web-enabling mobile. A major part of the course will be devoted to hands-on practices covering client-side (front-end) and server-side (back-end) applications in web-based business information systems. Essentials of contemporary programming tools for e-commerce development such as HTML, XML, ASP (VB/JavaScript) will be explored. E-Business case studies are used to demonstrate the advantages and the challenges related to integrating e- commerce applications. |

This course examines the integration of systems and
applications across global businesses; explores programming interfaces, data mapping and exchange,
scripting, and programming languages to support the configuration, maintenance, integration, and security of
systems.
SY 2022-2023 Mobile Technology 2 (ITEC 222)
This
course is a continuation of Mobile Technology 1, which shall focus on the
students’ mastery on developing an applied project for an enterprise start-up.
Moreover, students will review developments of mobile devices, examine the
business and technical aspects of mobile app paradigms, learn how to use these
tools in the creation and distribution of android apps using the four major
methodologies of mobile app development. The Major focus of this course is to
design and develop a Mobile
Application that uses MVC Pattern and has 2 or more Web API authentication
and/or Storage.
An equivalent Mobile Application of the ITA 224 project using the created
RESTful API, Advanced SQL, and Applicable Sensor(s).
Application Development and Emerging Technologies SY 2023
The development of applications using web, mobile, and emerging technologies requires a focus on several key areas, including requirements management, interface design, testing, and deployment. This includes gathering and analyzing user requirements, designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, thoroughly testing the application to ensure that it functions correctly and is free from bugs, and deploying the final product to users. Additionally, ethical and legal considerations must be taken into account throughout the development process, such as ensuring that personal data is handled securely and in compliance with relevant regulations.

This is a fundamental
course in networking in it, covering foundations of networking, routing and
switching and physical layer.
SY 2022-2023 - Ethical Hacking (ITA 327)
This course provides
knowledge and skills of an IT security professional to help them think as a hacker
to detect weaknesses within network infrastructures. Students are exposed to
hands-on exercises, lectures, and other materials.

IT 319: Information Assurance and Security 1
This course introduces information assurance and security and its
fundamentals. This course focuses on the introduction to information security
and assurance; securing the seven domains of the IT infrastructure from risks
and threats; business contingency planning, response, and recovery; and
securing software systems. This culminates to a project that evaluates the
current security of an existing system and reinforcing its information
security.
